Setsu and Shinobu Ito are both architects and designers. They have created different products for FIAM: Toki coffee table in curved glass, Kamy chair and Inori modular system of glass elements which can be used as show-case, display-case and TV-unit.
They now live in Milan but both have graduated in Japan, Shinobu at the Tama Art University in Tokyo and Setsu at the University in Tsukuba.
In addition to their main activity as designers, Shinobu also works as a graphic designer and has acquired experience as a marketer during his years at the Sony Creative Products Inc.. Setsu is also a teacher in Milan at Domus academy and at the European Institution of Design and in Tokyo at the Tama Art University.
Setsu and Shinobu: a life as designer between Europe and Japan
They are currently working as consultants between Milan and Tokyo for important companies such as Edra, De Padova, IXC, Toyo kitchen & living, Nava, Sony CP Laboratories, Richard Ginori, Tiffany, Mitsubishi, TDK, Hitachi, Sharp and Canon.
Their work has been published and exhibited through Europe and Japan and has received several awards. Some of their pieces are today part of the permanent collection at the museum of Contemporary Art in Munich.
