On the 2nd of March 2017, on the occasion of the Italian Design Day, Farnesina inaugurates Sala Sartorio which, in addition to have a representative function for distinguished Italian and foreign guests, will be open to the public during the tours at the Palace and will be used as location for design exhibitions.
Fiam participates in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s project with the console Rialto. This international initiative will make the design as the spokesperson of Italian culture and will involve simultaneously 100 cities around the world.
So that, the Farnesina has chosen to decorate the space with the furniture of great Italian companies that represent Italian excellence and culture, all features that reflect the values of Fiam.
The Rialto console has been chosen for its timeless versatility and its ability to enhance and suit heterogeneous styles of furniture, and it is showcased in Sala Sartorio, which was inaugurated at the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano and the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Dario Franceschini.
